Where to Start

Get a domain name to own a piece of the world wide web.  With places like face book, you are a renter, if they go out of business their goes your content and your contacts.  A domain name is then turned into a web site and becomes the destination location of marketing plans.

Next, get an email address that brands your business.  Not a yahoo.com email or Google email, create one that clearly brands your business every time it is used.  For example, you could contact us at cj@cjpublicrelations.com

Then, create a simple business card with your company contact information and follow that up with a marketing postcard.

Follow this with your entry into the Social Media world.  Open a business face book page to profile your company, then if applicable a Twitter account and consider starting a Yelp account as well.  Word on the street is yelp has been very good at generating business.
